Merida Minute: Blessing in Hocaba

March turned out to be a fabulous month for us Reimanns and for Hocaba!

Construction on the church continues (though we are currently trying to speed up the pace!!) We have enough money to make significant progress, but the Mexican way of things are just a bit to slow, this week Tim and I started the speeding-up-more-like-America efforts and hopefully things will indeed move along more quickly. But, still progress is continuing! Look at the difference in only 2 weeks:

Also big news = the new chairs and tables came in! We hand-delievered them this Sunday! The kids were thrilled, as well as the pastor! They were much needed! The old ones were thin and flimsy, old, dirty, broken and bowed. Check it out, this little girls weighs about 25 lbs and look at the bowed legs of the chair.

Wednesday night Bible study continues to be blessed! We have a consistent but growing group of kids that come! This week I taught my lesson....

Then, not so surprsing for Mexico, we found out that we were expected to lead worship and give the message at the 2nd year birthday party of the pastor's daughter Abby. We had no idea there was even a party, let alone that Tim was expected to play guitar and lead worship and I was expected to preach:

But we did it, and it turned out great! God always blesses me with the words and blesses me with better-than-normal-for-me Spanish when I am teaching His Word! What a blessing!

Then, Abby did the traditional "mordida" which is when the birthday-girl or boy takes a bite out of their cake after we sing to them:

Later in the month, we were blessed with a relaxing vacation in Playa del Carmen with Tim's mom Mary Jo, and sister, Tara. It was an amazing trip! Relaxing, renewing, refreshing! It was great to spend time with family and kick back! And man did we kick back in style! Pictures can say it better than me, so here are some highlights:
